In the context of the Regenerative Tourism (un)Summit 2026 on Camiguin Island, 7Generations is launching the Regional Circles — a network of changemakers committed to transforming tourism toward regeneration.
Regional Circles are locally anchored communities of practice dedicated to transforming tourism in their specific places or regions.
These circles serve a dual purpose:
→ Co-creation: They actively prepare for and co-create the content of the (un)Summit, ensuring the event is grounded in real-world experiences.
→ Long-term foundation: They are designed to become the cornerstone of a long lasting global community of practice that emerges from the event.
JOIN A PACT OF MUTUAL EXCHANGE
Camiguin is a pristine volcanic island in the Philippines, with a rich ecosystem and a historical culture of environmental stewardship. Its local communities and tourism actors are increasingly looking for tourism models that support livelihoods without compromising their homes.
7Generations Philippines’ team, alongside local partners and communities, has set out to support this transition and to give impulses for Camiguin to become a model island of regenerative tourism. We are calling you to become partners in this transformation.
By joining a Regional Circle, you enter a pact of mutual value creation: you contribute your unique vision and experience to help shape the transformation in Camiguin, and in return, you receive insights and tools from a real-world context that can nourish your own work.
As a Regional Circle you benefit from:
→ Active Co-Creation: Directly influence the (un)Summit agenda by sharing your local challenges and successes, and present your circle’s projects at a dedicated stand in the “Stories Bazaar” on the first day.
→ Complimentary Access: Receive two full passes to the (un)Summit for members of your circle, covering food and accommodation on Camiguin Island (Nov 5–7).
→ Circle Business Model: Gain insights into a participatory, non-hierarchical framework for organizational management that ensures every voice matters.
→ Solution Design: Receive peer support to define concrete goals and actions for transforming tourism in your specific region.
→ Global Community of Practice: Connect with a global network of frontrunners and co-create a lasting community dedicated to collaborating, sharing, and driving systemic change well beyond the three days of the (un)Summit.
WHO CAN CREATE A CIRCLE?
Anyone working with (or planning) existing tourism projects who adopts—or wishes to adopt—a regenerative approach. We ask for genuine curiosity over perfection.
Ideally, each circle is constituted of a group of diverse stakeholders, including local tourism practictioners, but also governmental and institutional actors, researchers, local community leaders, or else.
A circle needs to be connected to a specific area, region or country, so that we can ground our work in a shared understanding of place.
HOW DOES THE PROCESS WORK?
1. Form & register your circle — Gather 5 to 10 diverse stakeholders from your place or region
2. Host one-two reflection sessions — Based on questions & tools we share with you
3. Prepare your deliverables — Share your insights with us to include into the (un)Summit
4. Send two representatives to the (un)Summit — Join us on Camiguin Island from Nov 5 to 7
